Our annual state-wide meeting is a time for fellowship, fun, and attending to the business of our organization.
"Cultivating and Letting Go" was the theme for the 2025 Fall Gathering held at the beautiful St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Newport. Women from across the state met and enjoyed a time of fellowship and growth. Jo Ellen Carson led the annual meeting and presented her report. She also passed the gavel to the new Arkansas ECW president, Anabelle Steelman. Katherine Brooks became the new vice-president, replacing Denise Chai. Thank you to Jo Ellen and Denise for their service.
Lisa Bortner, National ECW president, presented an encouraging and uplifting message. She shared spiritual practices for a rooted and resilient life, and introduced the attendees to beautiful art - visual and written. Letting go of the weights and clutter that crowd our minds was discussed as well. The group was also given a journaling assignment to reflect upon the practice of letting go.
Saturday concluded with a Eucharist celebration and the induction of the new ECW officers. Thank you to The Reverend Teresa Cantrell for leading the group and sharing a thoughtful message.
Thank you to St. Paul's Newport for organizing a wonderful event. The Arkansas ECW appreciates the efforts you all put in to making this a joyous occasion.
